New Frontiers: Dvorak - Symphony N. 9 Bates - Mothership @ Henderson Symphony Orchestra

Henderson Symphony Orchestra's season premiere concert revolves around mankind’s quest to discover new frontiers. Immerse yourself in the past through Dvorak’s eyes, as he describes his discovery of a fascinating and unknown place called Amerika through The New World. Then, fast-forward to the future, where Mason Bates imagines the wind ensemble as a mothership that is ‘docked’ by several visiting soloists. Mothership aims to transcend barriers of location and looks to 21st Century dance music to enliven its journey.
