Continuing their milestone 20th anniversary season, the Las Vegas Philharmonic will present An Evening with Brahms on Saturday, February 9 at 7:30 pm in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The performance will celebrate the mastery of Johannes Brahms and display the virtuosity of Concertmaster and Violinist De Ann Letourneau and Principal Cellist Andrew Smith as they solo on the composer’s Concerto for Violin and Cello. Bookending the double concerto are Academic Festival Overture and Brahms’ Symphony No. 4. Doors open at 6:00 pm and patrons are encouraged to come early to enjoy pre-concert musical entertainment in the lobby. Conductor Donato Cabrera will host a pre-concert conversation at 6:30 pm for those interested in learning more about the composer and the music prior to the performance.
