Lizzie at The Playhouse, Poor Richard's Players

A brand new theatre venue opens with a regional premier of a musical based on Lizzie Borden.

Poor Richard’s Players is proud to announce the grand opening of their new theatrical venue, The Playhouse (528 S Decatur Blvd.). What better way to open a new venue than with a regional premier of an internationally acclaimed, hit rock-opera concept musical starring four powerhouse female vocalists and a live band?

Packed with murder, love, betrayal, and balls-to-the-wall rock and roll, LIZZIE is a female-fronted rock concept album which tells the bloody legend of America's first and favorite axe-wielding double-murderess and Victorian hometown girl, Lizzie Borden. Her story is reimagined as a transformation from downtrodden spinster to rock and roll legend, creating a genuine American myth.

LIZZIE runs 10/18-10/31 at 8pm with 2pm matinees on Sundays.

Ticket prices range from $25-$35 and can be purchased at
