Audience enthusiasm has earned Bolero – The Show an encore. Following a successful debut at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, the acclaimed Latin music production has extended its limited engagement with six additional performances running from Aug. 1 through Oct. 3.
More than a musical revue, Bolero – The Show is a heartfelt celebration of Latin America's rich musical heritage, weaving together live music, storytelling, and passionate dance to inspire pride and cultural appreciation in Latin music enthusiasts.
At the heart of the production is Las Vegas producer, singer and songwriter Adán Alejandro, who serves as executive producer and lead vocalist. Backed by a talented cast of singers, musicians and dancers deeply connected to the Latin entertainment community, Alejandro has created a production that pays tribute to the timeless romance of bolero while embracing the vibrant diversity of Latin music today.

Rather than following a traditional storyline, the production chronicles the evolution of bolero itself. Through theatrical vignettes, audiences travel from the genre's late-19th-century Cuban roots to the many cultural influences that have shaped its enduring legacy, including Afro-Caribbean rhythms, flamenco, samba, salsa, and beyond. The result is both an entertaining performance and a celebration of la cultura latina.
Bolero began as part of Cuba's trova tradition, where singer-songwriters performed heartfelt romantic ballads accompanied by guitar. Over generations, the music evolved into lush orchestral arrangements and the iconic love songs that became synonymous with romance throughout Latin America. That musical journey comes alive through a live orchestra under the direction of musical director Adrian Ortega, elegant choreography by artistic director Enrique Lugo and performances that blend soaring vocals, dynamic percussion and expressive dance.
Created specifically for the Plaza Hotel & Casino showroom, the production offers an intimate nightclub atmosphere where guests can enjoy cocktails throughout the approximately 90-minute performance. Accessible seating and accommodations ensure the experience is welcoming to all audiences.
The evening begins before the curtain rises. Doors open at 6 p.m., inviting guests to enjoy complimentary salsa dance lessons before the 7:30 p.m. performance. After the final bow, the showroom transforms into Club Bolero, where a live DJ, dancing and cocktails keep the celebration going well into the evening.
The extended engagement features six Saturday performances on Aug. 1, Aug. 15, Aug. 29, Sept. 12, Sept. 19 and Oct. 3, offering audiences additional opportunities to experience a production that celebrates the romance, rhythm and enduring influence of Latin music.
