DOLLY: The Living Legend Serves Up Music, Heart, and Joy May 3

By Debbie Hall

Las Vegas audiences are invited to experience a flavorful blend of music, storytelling, and heartfelt tribute as Kelly Vohnn brings DOLLY: The Living Legend to Notoriety Live on May 3.

This one-night-only concert goes beyond a traditional tribute show. It's a full-bodied celebration of Dolly Parton—her music, her journey, and the spirit of generosity and joy she has shared with the world for decades. Through a rich setlist of beloved songs and thoughtful storytelling, audiences will be taken on a journey from the hills of Tennessee to the global stage, tracing the evolution of an artist whose voice and vision have inspired millions.

This production engages more than just the ears—it feeds the soul. Vohnn's connection to Dolly runs deep, extending beyond performance into personal expression. Over the past year, she has immersed herself in Parton's world, even cooking recipes from Dolly's cookbook and sharing meals with others while in character. It's an artistic choice that reflects Dolly's own ethos: bringing people together through comfort, creativity, and care.

"I've been portraying Dolly for years, but I truly fell in love with her during COVID," Vohnn explains. "She gave people peace during a chaotic time. This show is my way of honoring that spirit—through music, through joy, and through connection."

The production itself is as visually satisfying as it is musically rich. Audiences can expect newly handcrafted costumes and wigs inspired by Dolly's iconic and ever-evolving style, alongside fresh musical arrangements that breathe new life into familiar favorites. With the addition of backup singers and special guest appearances by Paul Shortino and Chase Brown, the show offers a layered and dynamic performance that blends genres and generations.

Parton's cultural impact continues to resonate strongly today. Her recent Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace sold out in record time, underscoring her enduring relevance and universal appeal. DOLLY: The Living Legend taps into that same energy, reminding audiences why her music—and her message—still matter.

Vohnn herself is no stranger to the spotlight. A respected headliner across Las Vegas stages, she has built a career on versatility and authenticity, performing everything from country classics to Barbra Streisand tributes. Her ability to connect with audiences across styles and generations is part of what makes this show feel both intimate and expansive. Adding to her artistic portfolio, she has also released a new CD produced by her husband, James Kirner, furthering her evolution as both performer and recording artist.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with showtime at 6 p.m. Guests are encouraged to "dress country to impress DOLLY" and fully immerse themselves in the experience. Parking is available underneath Neonopolis from 4th Street and Fremont. The ramp is on the right side of the street, just past Denny's. Park on level P2. Once parked, take the parking elevator from the parking garage up to the 3rd floor. Notoriety's doors are straight ahead once you come off the elevator.

For those looking to nourish their creative spirit, DOLLY: The Living Legend is a perfect serving—rich in music, steeped in story, and delivered with heart. For more info, visit kellyvohnn.com and notorietylive.com.
