It’s day 9 of the Fallout Fringe Festival, and it’s getting hotter! Or maybe that’s the temperature outside. This weekend is a doozy! I recommend staying hydrated and going to air-conditioned downtown theaters to watch more Fringe plays. Maybe that’s just me. Tonight we have a concert to review. A clown concert. You can access the full schedule at www.falloutfringe.org/schedule.

Scrumptious ★★★★

Back in the corner of Cornish Pasty, armed with only a banjo and a clown nose, Dave is ready to give us a concert. All he needs is his Trashband. And when the band doesn’t show up, what can one do? Make the audience the band, of course! A select few audience members received musical instruments - tambourine, triangle, slide whistle, etc. - while the rest of us clapped, snapped, and sang. Add to that extra fun bits like invisible juggling balls, a card magic trick, and a very terrible joke about a horse, and you end up with a delightful evening. Dave is charming, smart, and, above all, fun. I was very impressed by how easily he got the audience to go along with his silliness. Part concert, part satire, and part clown show, this was a wonderful and warm experience. Well worth checking out!
