Las Vegas poetry lovers will have an opportunity to celebrate a powerful new literary voice when Mad Red Books hosts the launch of Hourglass on Sunday, June 28, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at The Asylum Theatre, located inside Taco y Taco Mexican Eatery at 9470 S. Eastern Ave.

Published by Chicago-based Dancing Girl Press & Studio, Hourglass is the poetry collection by author Gigi Guizado, whose work explores the passage of time through a distinctly female lens. Written in a vibrant Spanglish voice, the collection examines memory, identity, culture, aging, and resilience while offering an intimate reflection on life's evolving seasons.

Dancing Girl Press & Studio is known for championing innovative writing by women authors, and Hourglass joins the publisher's respected catalog of poetry and literary works that challenge convention while amplifying underrepresented voices.
