WIF Nevada takes over Film Thursday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. to launch its “Best of Fest” series, highlighting UNLV Film alums! There is no charge for the tickets but everyone is asked to get a ticket for a headcount.
Join them for a screening of the 2025 Nevada Women’s Film Festival Best Feature Documentary winner, Ali Eats America, and meet the director and UNLV Film alum Roush Niaghi. Ali will also join, scheduled to be in person.
"Ali Allouche was 17 years old when he was diagnosed with cancer. After months of treatments, chemotherapy and hospital food, cooking and travel documentaries became his gateway to the outside world. Inspired by his hero, Anthony Bourdain, Ali and his Mom planned their own culinary journey across the United States, an adventure waiting for him beyond his hospital walls."
WIF Nevada will also be screening a favorite from NWFFest 2020: the short student documentary and winner of Student Emmy Awards for Best Short Film and Best Director, I Exist, by UNLV Film alums Jemsen Yumico Bollozos and Alyson Arsen.

This screening will take place in Room 109 of the Flora Dungan Humanities (FDH) building at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25. Please reserve your free ticket by clicking here.
