Spend an afternoon painting Plein air landscapes in the natural beauty of the Clark County Wetlands Park with Melanie La May, a local painter and illustrator. The topics cover picture-making techniques which translate into any medium. Beginner and intermediate artists will learn tips and techniques related to painting with speed, composition, and vibrancy.
Melanie La May is one of Southwest Art Magazine's 21 artists under 31. She creates oil, watercolor, and digital paintings and sculptures, developing an interest in portraiture, spirituality, and nature. Her artwork is on public display as part of Clark County, Nevada’s Zap! project and in many private collections. In 2021, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts summa cum laude from Laguna College of Art and Design in Drawing and Painting with Illustration emphasis.
