Celebrate creators at the Authors and Artists Fair Jan. 24

The 2026 Authors & Artists Fair is a free, public event celebrating local creatives, taking place on Saturday, Jan. 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Clark County Library (1401 E. Flamingo Road). 

Attendees can meet over 70 local authors and 24 artists, with opportunities to browse, purchase, and get items signed in the Artist and Author Marketplaces located in the theater lobby and large conference room. 

Event Highlights Include:

• Marketplace: Dozens of local authors, artists, and creators showcasing new releases and unique artwork.

• Workshops & Panels: Featuring writing workshops, publishing panels, and author discussions, including topics like "Generate Sales Through Self-Marketing".

• Performances & Activities: Live music from the Clark County Library Jam Band, an independent film screening, a chalk art corner, and various artist demonstrations.

• Schedule: The fair runs from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with different authors and artists featured in shifts (10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.).

2026 Authors & Artists Fair -- Authors Marketplace in the Theater Lobby

Over 70 local authors are scheduled to participate in this year's Authors & Artists Fair! Be swept away by what the local literary community has to offer as you discover new releases, best sellers and fresh finds in both print & e-book format. Meet authors with their award-winning books, talk to first-time authors and seasoned veterans of the publishing world, learn about writers groups you can join for networking, writing opportunities and critical feedback about your own writing projects, buy autographed copies as gifts for friends and family, and take selfies with the authors. Are you an author seeking publication? Talk to event co-sponsor Mystic Publishers, Inc., a Henderson-based publisher that provides several options to getting your book published and join the dozens of authors in their catalog.

As a writer, you'll also learn about how to market your book to The Library District, how to publish with BiblioBoard, a unique software platform partnered with The Library District that helps you find new online readers for your book, and early information about the 2026 Indie Author Project's global writing contest seeking the best indie-published books with cash prizes in eight genres: Mystery/Thrillers, Romance, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, General/Contemporary Fiction, Memoir, Young Adult and Children's Picture Books. 

Workshops, panel discussions, art demonstrations, Artist Marketplace, Chalk Art Corner, movie screening, concert and chapter readings will be held throughout the Fair in the Main Theater, Paul C. Blau Theatre, and Large Conference Room. See Activities Agenda below covering all Fair spaces.
