For three days this October, Sunset Park becomes a living canvas of armor, music, craftsmanship and performance when the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival returns to Las Vegas October 9-11.

More than 30 acres will transform into a colorful 16th-century English village, where knights charge into full-contact jousting, musicians fill the air, artisans work at their crafts, performers take the stage and costumed characters blur the line between audience and spectacle.

Celebrating its 32nd year, the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival brings together live entertainment, historical reenactment, traditional craft and immersive storytelling for an experience that invites visitors to step into another era.

Where Art Meets Performance

The festival's signature full-contact jousting tournaments combine costuming, horsemanship, choreography and physical performance as armored knights battle for honor and glory.

Across the festival grounds, multiple stages offer a nonstop lineup featuring belly dancers, magicians, comedians, Celtic rock bands and The Birdman, whose live bird show adds another unexpected element to the weekend.

Living-history guild encampments offer a closer look at traditional skills, with reenactors demonstrating blacksmithing, archery and other techniques that connect visitors with the craftsmanship of the Renaissance era.

A Marketplace of Handmade Treasures

The festival's sprawling artisan marketplace features more than 100 master artisans showcasing handmade leatherwork, forged iron, jewelry and Renaissance and fantasy costuming.

Visitors can meet the makers, discover one-of-a-kind pieces and see traditional techniques reflected in contemporary handmade work. Elaborate costumes worn throughout the festival add another layer to the visual spectacle, turning the grounds into a colorful procession of characters.

A Feast for the Senses

The Renaissance experience extends to the table, with festival fare including giant roasted turkey legs, hearty meat pies and other period-inspired offerings. Guests can also raise a glass with English ales, mead and mocktails.

New this year, the Guided Pub Crawl offers another interactive way to experience the festival. The moderate walking tour travels from the east side to the west side of the lake at Sunset Park, stopping at three distinct taverns.

Led by a lively and knowledgeable guide, the experience includes one complimentary tasting at each tavern, along with encounters with the whimsical villagers and colorful characters who populate the festival.

Stay in the Story

Visitors looking to make a weekend of it can stay at the festival's dedicated public campground just outside the main event perimeter.

Options include bring-your-own tent and RV spaces, along with pre-assembled accommodations such as yurts and bell tents. Select weekend packages include multi-day festival admission, early access to the grounds, private campground access, designated restrooms and exclusive entertainment. Camping spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend reserving in advance.

Costumes are encouraged, and guests are invited to dress in their finest Renaissance, medieval, or fantasy attire and become part of the festival's visual world. From forged iron and handmade jewelry to elaborate costumes, live music, dance, comedy, jousting and historical demonstrations, the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival offers a weekend where craft, performance, history and imagination come together.

The Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival runs Friday through Sunday, Oct. 9-11, at Sunset Park, 2601 E. Sunset Road. Single-day tickets and three-day passes are available. Seniors and children receive discounted admission, and children under 5 enter free. Guests are encouraged to dress in Renaissance, medieval or fantasy attire and become part of the spectacle.
