"It has been amazing, and I am so honored to be part of this organization that has given so much to our musicians and other entertainers. While it can be sad to see something end, our legacy will live on." Ann Parenti, one of the founders.
The 2024 Vegas Icon Visionary Awards (VIVA) promises a star-studded, dazzling evening celebrating and supporting Las Vegas' vibrant arts community. Hosted by the Forgotten Song Foundation, this 10th annual event will occur at Notoriety from 6 to 9 p.m. on September 19. The event will showcase Las Vegas’ visual and performing arts, featuring live entertainment, a delicious dinner, a cash bar, raffle prizes, and a silent auction. Tickets are available for $75, with all proceeds benefiting the Forgotten Song Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the future of the arts.
This year's VIVA will honor outstanding leaders in various fields, including Dave Loeb, Nathan Tanouye, Nate Tannenbaum, Sarah O'Connell, Niki J. Sands, Barb & Larry Domsky, and Robert & Shirley Kramer. Featured performers include Mike Candito and Jeff Davis, with Dave Loeb and Nathan Tanouye. Stacey Gualandi will emcee the event, along with a few more surprises.
Founded in 2015, FSF was initially supported by a grant for Midnight Muse-Milestones in Music-Las Vegas, a multimedia project that captured the city's rich musical history. Since then, the foundation has expanded its impact, funding jazz studies scholarships and commissioning local performers for various fundraising events. The annual VIVA Awards will highlight these efforts, bringing together artists, musicians, and the broader Las Vegas community in a shared celebration of the arts. This year's 2024 will be the last VIVA Awards with the closure of the Forgotten Song Foundation.
The VIVA Awards recognize the city's finest artists and celebrate the scholarship and grant programs that empower the next generation of creative talent. Since its inception in 2015, the foundation has awarded over $75,000 in scholarships and grants to local students, entertainers, and artists, with a goal of reaching $100,000 by 2025. Through its ongoing support of young artists and live performances, FSF plays a crucial role in sustaining Las Vegas' artistic legacy and much more.
Join Las Vegas' vibrant artistic community for an unforgettable night celebrating the past, present, and future legacy that has created a long-standing genesis for the arts.
