In Orchestra 4: Daphnis and Chloe with UNLV Dance and Orchestra

The season kicks off with In Orchestra 4: Daphnis and Chloe, the fourth collaboration between UNLV Dance and the UNLV Orchestra. In this concert, dance professors Dolly Kelepecz-Momot and Louis Kavouras will reimagine Maurice Ravel's 1912 ballet Daphnis and Chloe. The original work was created for Serge Diagalev's Ballet Russes and was choreographed by Michael Folkine. This new reimagining will create a contemporary mix of ballet and modern dance choreography that will bring this timeless tale of innocence and love to life. The concert will also feature Ravel's powerful work Bolero, with new choreography by dance professor Cathy Allen, and lighting by UNLV dance design specialist Michael Jarett.
