Surrealist Yoga, Mini Facials and Tipsy Tarot on Jan. 4

Poly Schmitt is bringing her experiences from her recent trip to Sedona with her first event of 2026 at The Gather House at Fergusons, 1020 Fremont St., on Jan. 4.

“I came away with a profound connection to Max Ernst and Dorothea Tanning's estate, Capricorn Hill. Their relationship to their surroundings and to each other blew my mind. They created art and strange sculptures embedded into the hillside for the tumbleweed and the sky. That's my biggest takeaway from Sedona, and I had a Max Ernst book sitting on my nightstand for the better part of 2025, like a doot doot. I'm grateful to the Surrealists and Dadaists who rejected fascism in all its forms. It's time to get weird and embrace your own life as a living form of art. I'm reading tarot in the most symbolic way for this one-time event, and there's twisty yoga and zigzag facials. Of course, there's other news to share soon,” explained Poly.
