The renowned shopping center will host an exciting event featuring live entertainment and festive performances on Saturday, September 13. From noon to 3 p.m., guests can immerse themselves in the delightful celebration featuring mariachi music by the award-winning mariachi group, Mariachi Los Pumas from K.O. Knudson Academy of the Arts. Adding to the festivities, FSLV will host traditional dance performances, a DJ spinning top Latin music, and a call-and-response contest.

Commemorating the dynamic culture, The Shoppes will invite guests to revel in its annual El Grito ceremony. On Monday, September 15 at 10 a.m., St. Mark's Square will transform for the Mexican celebration of freedom as Jesús López of the NHL Vegas Golden Knights hosts the event as the master of ceremonies. Honoring the historic event that initiated Mexico's independence, guests will gather as traditional mariachi performances and folkloric dancers come together for an unforgettable celebration. In addition to the exciting entertainment, guests can enjoy special dining and beverage specials at various restaurants in St. Mark's Square, including:

Mercato della Pescheria - The renowned Italian restaurant will offer patio seating for guests to watch the festive celebration as they enjoy specialty bites from the El Grito menu, such as Crispy Calamari, Quattro Formaggio Arancini, and Salmon Tartar, and margaritas, priced at $12. Mercato will also have a satellite bar, allowing visitors to purchase margaritas throughout the event.

BRERA Osteria - BRERA will present specials on select beers and pizza options throughout the celebration.

Canaletto - The Italian eatery will open its bar to patrons attending the El Grito event to imbibe refreshing cocktails and beverages until 11 p.m.

Each year, September 16, known as Día de la Independencia, marks the beginning of Mexico's fight for freedom from Spanish rule, a struggle that ultimately culminated in independence in 1821. This historic day commemorates the Grito de Dolores (Cry of Independence), a rallying call made by Catholic priest Miguel Hidalgo in 1810 that sparked the revolutionary movement. Mexicans worldwide celebrate with parades, fireworks, music, and reenactments of Hidalgo’s cry, embodying national pride and unity.
