Glitz, Glamour & BOOZE Celebrates a Year of Drag, Art and Personality Oct. 1

Free Event at Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino Will Feature Live Drag Performances, Music, Games and Prizes

In Las Vegas, drag is more than a night out. It is an art form built from transformation, costume, makeup, music, movement, and personality, with each performer creating a character that comes alive under the lights.

That spirit will take center stage Thursday, October 1, when Glitz Glamour & BOOZE celebrates its first anniversary at Seven Sins Lounge inside Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino. Hosted by Las Vegas drag performer and entertainer Angelique Roberts, the free celebration brings together performers from the city’s LGBTQ+ entertainment community for an evening where glamour and creativity meet music, cocktails and plenty of personality.

The anniversary lineup features Fanny D. Pack, Victoria S. Mateo and Taeya Mimosa, with DJ Ashley Q providing the soundtrack. Together, the performers represent different approaches to the art of drag, from high-energy stage performance to elaborate visual presentation and character-driven entertainment.

For an art-focused audience, one of drag's most compelling aspects is its ability to turn the performer into a living canvas. Makeup becomes a tool for character creation. Costuming establishes a silhouette and visual identity. Music and choreography shape the performance, while the audience becomes part of the experience.

Taeya Mimosa brings that visual sensibility to the stage as both a Las Vegas drag performer and costume designer. Her work has been featured in local productions including Circus Fierce and other LGBTQ+ events. Costuming is an essential part of Mimosa’s creative vocabulary, helping transform a performance from simply an appearance into a fully realized visual experience.

Fanny D. Pack is a familiar presence on the Las Vegas LGBTQ+ entertainment scene, regularly hosting and performing at venues including Badlands and The Phoenix. She has also appeared in a variety of drag productions and events throughout the city. Her experience as a performer and host reflects another important element of drag—the ability to connect with an audience and create a shared moment that exists only in the room.

Victoria S. Mateo rounds out the featured performers with her own high-energy approach to drag. Her performance style adds another layer to an evening designed around individuality, entertainment, and the freedom to create a larger-than-life persona.

That variety is part of what makes a drag show particularly compelling as live art. No single aesthetic or formula applies. Each performer brings a distinct interpretation of beauty, humor, fashion, music, and performance, creating a constantly changing visual landscape onstage.

The evening begins with cocktail hour at 7 p.m., followed by the drag show at 8 p.m. Between performances, DJ Ashley Q will keep the music going while guests can participate in interactive games and prize giveaways.

For those who want to turn the anniversary celebration into an extended evening, $25 all-you-can-drink wristbands are available in advance and at the door. The wristbands include all-you-can-drink beverages throughout the event.

Glitz Glamour & BOOZE also reminds us of the creative community that continues to shape Las Vegas nightlife. Drag performers are entertainers, but they are also designers, makeup artists, choreographers, storytellers, and character creators. Their stages become temporary galleries where fashion, music, comedy and performance art intersect.

After one year, Glitz Glamour & BOOZE is celebrating not just an anniversary, but the creativity and personalities that have made the event part of Las Vegas’ LGBTQ+ entertainment landscape.

Glitz Glamour & BOOZE First Anniversary Drag Show takes place Thursday, October 1, at Seven Sins Lounge at Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino, with cocktail hour beginning at 7 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to guests 21 and older.
